Getting together celebrated Festive Season in Style

December 23rd, 2016

December 22nd saw Christmas hit the Holywell Community Centre, with stellar performances from local acts, great food, decorations and the company of 70 Getting Together Club members.

The hugely talented Amy Percival came through with her truly uncanny Julie Andrews tribute – ‘Truly Andrews’, getting guests singing along to classics and providing the perfect start to the day. Gary Jay brought Elvis to life later in the day, getting everyone to their feet in a perfect end to the year for the club members.
Celebrations like this are important for older people in Watford, as an opportunity to socialise with others and stay active. One member expressed her thanks:

Thank you for organising this lovely Christmas party. Thanks for all your hard work and looking forward to next year’s fun outings and events.
